Welcome to Alfriston Court Care Home

Originally built as a private edwardian country home in 1905, within the historic village of Alfriston, the home became a luxury hotel before becoming a residential care home in 2008. Alfriston Court retains much of a boutique hotel feel especially with its spacious communal rooms with beautiful views. Situated within the South Downs National Park the home offers Residents superb views of the countryside and the Cuckmere Valley. Alfriston itself is a thriving village with superb restaurants, local shops and amenities.

We are rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC and have a score of 9.7/10 from the leading national site for care – Carehome.co.uk.

We're committed to providing the best care

Our staff are committed to providing the very best quality of nursing and elderly care in Alfriston, including the comforts of home and companionship for our residents. We constantly follow best practices from the Care Quality Commission and other leading care bodies and staff receive continuous training in all key areas.

Our excellent nursing care provides long-term care and permanent care in East Sussex for elderly people who would prefer to have all their needs looked after or are no longer able to live at home. While our rooms are comfortably furnished with luxury finishes, we do encourage residents to bring their own effects and to personalise their rooms to be as homely as possible.

A bespoke care plan is developed for each resident by our nurses with health professionals and relatives input.

Respite care is two or more weeks of 24 hour nursing care and support at our East Sussex care home, enabling the resident’s usual Carer to have some much needed rest and relaxation.

This is 24 hour care for those diagnosed with a terminal illness. Over the years the staff at Country Lodge Nursing Home in West Sussex have offered care and support to many diagnosed with cancer and other terminal conditions.

Our Nurses and Carers have a wealth of experience and training in caring for residents with post stroke challenges and it is wonderful to see residents regain independence with the right 24 hour care put in place at our nursing home in East Sussex.

Good nutrition and social interaction, provided by encouraging involvement in regular activities all contribute to ensuring the well-being of a resident with Parkinson’s is maintained and enhanced.

At Alfriston Court nursing home in East Sussex we have extensive experience of nursing and caring for residents with Multiple Sclerosis and work hard to put together a care plan to promote and maintain their independence for as long as possible.
